DIY

Shop DIY kits and hands-on creative toys in Dubai, with delivery across the United Arab Emirates. What connects everything here is that the child makes something before, or instead of, simply playing with it.

The range covers build-it-yourself electric models such as train and aeroplane kits assembled screw by screw, water-gel and mould playsets where the child creates their own shapes, art and drawing kits including projection drawing tables, and music-making toys such as drum kits and karaoke sets.

Two things worth checking before you buy. How much help is needed — screw-together electric kits usually want an adult nearby for the first build, while gel and art sets are independent from the start. What runs out — gel, moulds and art materials are consumable, so it is worth knowing whether refills are available before the set becomes a box of empty trays.

The reward with this kind of toy is different from a finished product. A child who has assembled something tends to keep using it longer, and the making is often the better half of the play.

Most kits contain small parts, and some contain batteries or liquids. Check the recommended age on each product page.

Delivery reaches all seven emirates, with free shipping over 200 AED, and orders can be collected from our Deira office, usually within 24 hours.
