In a conversation with IGN, Miyazaki expressed his fascination and delight with gamers’ curiosity and their continuous pursuit of uncovering the secrets of games. He expects this phenomenon to also occur regarding the upcoming expansion pack, Shadow of the Erdtree. With several months still remaining until the game’s release, the game director has made a fresh claim to engage fans. He stated that “something small has yet to be found,” emphasizing that players haven’t been able to find one small detail.

The creator of Dark Souls stated, “There is a small element that I feel hasn’t been discovered yet. Whether it’s through interpretation, personal perception, or further gameplay, I’ll remain hopeful for its discovery.” While Miyazaki didn’t allude to this “small element,” he fully expects gamers to find it and believes that the main issue is simply a matter of time, anticipating that this hidden secret will soon come to light. He hasn’t provided any guidance to fans and expects gamers to personally engage and once again explore the Lands Between thoroughly.

The small element Miyazaki refers to could possibly be a specific item. However, data miners have uncovered all the game’s items, and no file remains undiscovered. Even items that haven’t made it into the final game have been found.
